| Sep 30, 2026 | Federal Fiscal Year 2026 ends | FY2027 begins October 1, 2026. Review obligations, deobligations, and year-end reporting now. |
| Sep 30, 2026 | Single Audit — Dec 31 FYE entities | 2 CFR 200.512: submission due to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse within the earlier of 30 days after receipt of the auditor’s report or 9 months after fiscal year end. |
| Mar 31, 2027 | Single Audit — Jun 30 FYE entities | Entities with a June 30, 2026 fiscal year end reach the 9-month Single Audit mark March 31, 2027. |
| Annual | SAM.gov registration renewal | Entity registrations must be renewed every 365 days to stay eligible for awards. Check your expiration date at SAM.gov. |
Grant & NOFO Season Markers
Winter–Spring — Many federal discretionary NOFOs (including Administration for Native Americans and other HHS programs) historically post in winter and spring. Watch Grants.gov forecasts.
Spring–Summer — HUD Indian Housing Block Grant (NAHASDA) formula and competitive cycles, plus BIA program announcements, typically move through spring and summer. Verify current-year notices on each agency’s site.
Fall — Federal year-end (Sep 30) drives closeouts and carryover decisions; new-year NOFO forecasts begin posting after October 1.
Season markers describe typical historical patterns, not fixed dates. Always confirm current deadlines on Grants.gov and the awarding agency’s site.
